Common Ground Dance Festival
Fri October 8th 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 9:00 pm

This is an in-person event!
TOES FOR DANCE presents the inaugural Common Ground Dance Festival, a free, outdoor, participatory celebration of movement and community, featuring COVID-19-safe, in-person dance programming in North York’s Lee Lifeson Art Park! Events will include community workshops that focus on creative improvisational movement for beginners, intermediate/advanced level workshops that bring together dance students and professional dance artists, site-specific performances in response to the park’s sculptures, mainstage performances, student performances, freestyle improv jams, and a community co-creation experiment. This festival has something for everyone! Whether you’re an experienced dancer or you have an unexplored curiosity for movement, let’s breath deeply, feel our bodies connected to the earth, and revel in the joys of expressing and dancing – together.

5:30-6:30pm Community Workshop (All Levels)
6:30pm Pop-up Performances
