Common Ground Dance Festival
September 21 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Common Ground Dance Festival presented by TOES FOR DANCE is a free, outdoor, participatory celebration of movement and community that includes:
-groovy and grounded dance workshops for all levels in a variety of styles
-compelling site performances that animate unexpected spaces
-beautiful and thought-provoking mainstage performance programmes featuring both student and professional dancers
-innovative interdisciplinary collaborations including performances with live music
-cozy artist chat circles through which audience members can connect with the inspiring dancers and choreographers who bring the festival to life!
In 2023, Lee Lifeson Art Park is our main festival location, with activities taking place between September 21st – 23rd. It’s only a hop, skip, and jump away from North York Centre subway station; so it’s easy to join in the fun! While you’re around, check out Willowdale’s wonderful array of nearby restaurants and bars too! The festival’s mission is intercultural, with programming that gathers a diverse constellation of Toronto’s artists and community members for the purpose of creating connection. We invite you to witness the beauty and power of multiple artistic expressions moving through a shared space, and to contribute your energy and presence to the experience. It is our hope that our friendly vibe, matched with the incredible talent of the artists on stage will move you, uplift you, challenge you, and inspire you. Whether you’re an experienced dancer or you have an unexplored curiosity for movement, let’s breathe deeply, meet each other amongst the greenery, practice curiosity, and revel in the joys of movement – together! We are looking forward to welcoming you!
