Ensemble Jeng Yi @ Three Willowdale Parks

Sat September 4th 2021 @ 4:30 pm - 5:00 pm

This is an in-person event!

Ensemble Jeng Yi is a Korean performing arts ensemble based in Toronto, specializing in traditional Korean drumming. Not just talented drummers, the members are also accomplished performers of the ribbon-hat dance: each member spins a ribboned-hat—all while dancing and drumming! Special guest Joo Hyung Kim will join the ensemble performing her own compositions on the Kayagum, the traditional Korean zither. Ensemble Jeng Yi will perform the same program on three dates, each at a different Willowdale park: Gibson Park, Lee Lifeson Art Park, and Princess Park.

Please note: Toronto Arts Foundation is committed to the health and safety of our artists, audiences and residents of Toronto. Although we hope we can be in the park together this summer, at this time Ensemble Jeng Yi awaits final confirmation from the City of Toronto. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this event is subject to change, including postponement and/or cancellation, in accordance with provincial and municipal public health guidelines. For the most up-to-date information, please monitor our website for day-of changes to all events. For questions, please email aitp@torontoarts.org.
