Through a blend of live storytelling and the art of interactive clown, Phil Koole invites park goers to join him on a hilarious and spontaneous adventure. With his ability of connecting people through play, he will bring both adults and children out of their shells to stimulate a sense of excitement and help foster a stronger community bond.
Grup is on the job for the Clown High Commission with the task of collecting data on all the natural elements of the park in order to replace all the data that was lost during the great “water fire” of 2017. While Grup is eager to complete his task (as he’s up for promotion) he is also easily distracted by those who approach him. And It is when the audience makes contact with Grup that the real fun begins. How will you approach? What will you ask of Grup? Will you want to help with his task or will you manage to distract him and get him into the playground? The choice is up to you! You can even just sit back and watch the action unfold!
Joining Phil in making this adventure a success will be director Byron Laviolette (co-creator and director of Canada’s most prominent clown duo Morro and Jasp), Kathleen LeRoux (therapeutic clown and Phil’s occasional clown partner), and photographer Neil Muscott. Phil Koole’s clown work is free flowing and come and go as you please. It is truly an improvisational performance that creates lasting relationship between audience and clown by returning to the evolved relationship each park appearance. Come as you are and leave well met!
