Joy in the Park – Celebrating Cultures

June 27 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join us for Jamii’s 6th Annual Multiculturalism Day Celebrations to celebrate mix cultures of our neighbourhood on Thursday, June 27th, in David Crombie Park, at the corner of The Esplanade and Princess St, from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Join us for a grand community potluck organized by Jamii and our community partners! Bring your favorite dish to share, or if you prefer, bring your own picnic fare. We invite everyone to contribute to the communal feast and experience the diverse flavors of our community. This marks the inaugural event of what we hope will become an annual tradition, ‘The Esplanade Cultural Potluck,’ and we can’t wait to taste the variety of dishes you bring!

Complementing our picnic, enjoy live music by Kuné, Canada’s global orchestra, celebrating our cultural diversity with eleven musicians representing various corners of the world.

In addition to the food and music, you’ll have the opportunity to explore our market featuring local artisans. We’ll also have face painter Linda Epp and henna artist Noshin Hussain to delight every member of the family.

The St. Lawrence Market will be providing barbecue food, the St. Lawrence Daycare Co-Op will offer crafts for the young ones, St Lawrence Community Recreation Centre will offer family games, Market Lane Public School students will have a surprise performance, and Canadian Stage will have tickets to their shows available for you to win.

This promises to be a beautiful event not to be missed, and as always, admission is free.
