Long Exposure Festival
July 13 @ 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Long Exposure Festival is a celebration of light after dark in one of Toronto’s suburban parklands. Out under the power lines, we bring together circus arts performers showcasing wearable technology, workshops on how electricity can be a delight, and long exposure photography to explore how light works in our world. We see this as a community outreach project that can bring some of the verve of downtown’s exciting technology communities to the outer regions of Toronto, hoping to encourage families who do not normally access our spaces to think about how technology might work for them. Toronto is home to a vivid technology and performing arts community, which is normally limited to the core of the city. It can be a challenge for fresh audience to access these works if they are not already aware of the possibilities in the city. Long Exposure Fest is an effort to bring together the tech-forward arts community with that fresh audience.
