Mother Tree

August 14 @ 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Shadowland Theatre travels to three GTA parks this August in a glorious celebration of trees. Learn to love trees and to protect and honour them. Come for the workshops and be in the show!

The Mother Tree holds everything in her strong arms. She gives us clean air, shelter and beauty. She sings to us when the wind blows, she holds us up and lets us see far and wide. She speaks to other trees and nurtures the earth so it can nurture us.

Come and join Shadowland’s glorious celebration of trees in a park near you. An afternoon of workshops for all ages, includes music, performance, and indigenous and nature teachings. Followed by a show featuring giant puppetry, stilt-walkers and live music. We invite you to join our story where the Mother Tree is threatened by the forces of human activity and we learn to care and protect her for our future wellbeing. Spectacle, suspense and humour will all feature in this day of delightful art and theatre.
