Samba In The Park

August 13 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Join us this summer on a journey to Brazil with the Dance Migration Project, as we present SAMBA IN THE PARK! Immerse yourself in the rich culture of Brazil with free workshops that include the Brazilian martial art of capoeira taught by Contra Mestre Sapo, Samba Reggae rhythms from Salvador, Bahia Brazil by Maestro Pato and Tdot Batu, and live drumming by Rio de Janeiro’s own Maninho Costa & Batucada Carioca while learning the basics of samba with Dance Migration’s Adrianna Yanuziello, along with singing and maracatu drumming with Aline Morales. The day will culminate in a vibrant stage show featuring our talented workshop teachers and the incredible Dance Migration dancers. Best of all, all workshops and performances are free and open to everyone!
