An event every week that begins at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until Wed August 14th 2019

Regent Park Film Festival is proud to announce the 6th Annual Under the Stars: Movies in the Park. Our summer screening series runs every Wednesday from July 10 – August 14 and has grown into Regent Park’s largest summer community event. We show widely loved films that prominently feature Indigenous, Black and People of Colour on screen. Each week, we offer a pre-show before the film with family friendly activities that change week to week.

The screening takes place at Regent Park (620 Dundas St E, Toronto ON), an accessible venue. If you have any questions regarding the accessibility of the park, please contact us at info@regentparkfilmfestival.com or call us at 416-599-7733

We’ll be in the park this year alongside Taste of Regent Park, a weekly community market hosted by CRC 40 Oak. The market starts up at 5pm each week, so come out early to get some delicious food and shop from local vendors.

RAIN DATE: In the event of rain, we will cancel the scheduled screening and show a movie on Wednesday, August 21st.

Bio
The Regent Park Film Festival is Toronto’s longest running free community film festival, dedicated to showcasing local and international independent works relevant to residents of Regent Park, the largest and oldest public housing project in Canada. As part of Regent Park Film Festival's mandate, we aim to provide the Regent Park community access to high-quality films which resonate with their experiences, alongside accessible programming. We prioritize Black, Indigenous and People of Colour, as well as low income and public housing communities. Currently, while navigating Regent Park's fifteen-year re-development, we are striving to serve an evolving community and connect with residents through film as a means of artistic expression and a catalyst for change.
