Wigwam Chi-Chemung: Powwow Dance Workshop

As part of this Summer’s Wigwam Chi-Chemung programming, Myseum of Toronto and Elder Dr. Duke Redbird present an online participatory experience examining the significance of dance in Indigenous culture, and an opportunity to learn Powwow dance.

Join us on Wednesday, August 19 from 1:00-2:15 PM EDT for this family friendly event, which is a unique opportunity to learn about and participate in Powwow dance from the comfort of your own space (home, office, etc.).

This event happening via Zoom will feature a poetry reading by Elder Redbird, a dance performance by Nimkii Osawamick (Wolf Clan) and a performance and dance workshop facilitated by Angela Miracle Gladue (A Tribe Called Red).
